Jays wintry mix is saying it could be a few inches and ice. One factor here is there is in person ACCESS testing happening this week for ELL students. They may close if they feel conditions deteriorate to where transportation to get the kids in person would be risky.

You don’t have to like the decision if they close and they might not. Just trying to pass along a little context for why they do if they do. Admin and classified staff still report, staff have to report to run these tests and kids have to come. It’s a significant issue IF conditions are unsafe for transportation.

Loudoun County Public Schools are scheduled to open on time tomorrow, January 26th. Because the weather forecast is uncertain at this time, this decision may change to a delayed opening or closure. If the status of Loudoun County Public Schools changes, staff and the public will be notified as soon as possible.
