I would not trust the opinion of any RE who didn't disclose age as being the primary factor. If you want to spend tens of thousands of dollars on a maybe, that is your choice, but it is really a long shot and the RE has an obligation to be upfront about that. |
The unexplained infertility diagnosis was before OPs first child - where they required several rounds of IVF to conceive (and then subsequently had a 2nd child without IVF after 3 months of trying.). I would get the lab work rolling and try for several months and then reassess. Low odds of IVF working at this age but agree stats are more aimed at primary infertility. (I did IVF and added some frozen donor eggs to the cycle for this reason. ) |
