There's no point in putting up with a rich man when you're already rich. |
Perhaps OP is the same op who is wondering why men don't like her? Not, bcs she is shallow, but bcs men are not nice! |
Interesting on the ageism. As far as 'Asian Asian' her parents both immigrated in their adulthood and didn't teach her Mandarin. She was in Taiwan and had to use translators. |
OP I am with you!
How dare she (a woman none of us know at all) have a baby with a man (who none of us know either) who doesn't look as handsome as you want him to, and doesn't have documented professional or financial achievements that don't blow you away? I mean, the nerve of her, picking a mate who she presumably loves and WANTS to be with as opposed to someone you think is more appropriate for her!!!!!! I, too hang around a lot of people who take the trash out, and he does look like them. You must hang around people who take the trash out too, right? We are SOOOOOO sisters in unsolicited relationship advice! |
Constance Wu lives on the red carpet. Talk to me about she 'loves and WANTS to be with him' when he shows up on her arm in 2021. If he disappears into the mists - you know exactly what she thinks of him. |
Not surprising. I'm Asian American myself. I can't speak a lick of anything other than English. I am not Asian Asian and have nothing in common with the people from where my parents immigrated from. I need translators when we visit relatives back in Asia. And yes, ageism is brutal in Asia for women. The Chinese call women who are unmarried by 25 to 'left over women' The Japanese have used the term 'Christmas cakes' (because no one wants expired holiday cakes after Dec 25). Koreans/Indians/Malaysians/Sinaporeans all have similar types of stigmas. |
Meh. She has a reputation for being a very difficult person with toxic personality. |
Isn’t it both racist and sexist to assume an Asian American who was raised here and doesn’t speak Chinese should go back to Asia to look for a rich husband? |
Are... you suggesting she “stick to her own kind”, as in race? Yikes. |
I don’t get the “going from Henry Golding” comments and all the pictures with Henry - they were never a couple, he’s married and has been with his wife for years, long before the movie was filmed. He’s just a coworker. |
She obviously is ashamed to be seen in public with him, or his baby. You ARE on to something here. Stick with it. Rip her lies of omission apart. |
Fine, you're right. That was my mistake. The woman is gorgeous - she should have married a Yale billionaire of any race or ethnicity with a house in Silicon Valley, a chalet in the French Alps, a penthouse in New York, and an extra house for her to work out of in L.A. I just don't get this frumpy choice. Not if I looked like her. |
Why is this a big deal? Mindy Kaling did the same thing. No one knew she was pregnant, she announced it three months later. |
Actually you all have me thinking that this reminds me of Katherine Heigl and her husband. She's also known for not being well-liked and had a falling out with her biggest leads. Also married a musician - although he is rather successful at it with numerous albums and hits. She left Hollywood for Utah and is the beauty in that relationship as well. It worked out - roughly. She's still making bank as a movie star. |
That was the second baby, not the first and we all knew she was pregnant. If you'd been paying attention. https://www.eonline.com/de/news/1196496/mindy-kaling-reveals-she-gave-birth-to-baby-no-2 |
