I’m a nanny who early $660 a week. I feel like people like op don’t know how to be one of the poors. You need to start driving Uber, so does your husband. Sell on eBay. Babysit. Do SOMETHING. I laughed out loud about you taking a week off. If I had a week off, I’d be driving door dash 40hrs a week, not complaining on dcum.

Pandemic PUA. He needs to check in with the board before it’s all cut. Contractors were included.

Op here.

Thank you everyone for the suggestions.

I told DH exactly what was suggested in here - that I was going to pull from our retirement or I was going to start driving Uber.

He looked at me with a wide eyed expression, got on the phone with his clients bookkeeper (after three tries!) and long story short is picking up his check today from their local office.

I don’t know why he didn’t do this at the conclusion of the work?! Nonetheless, he has another 4 month contract coming up in January so we can exhale for now.

You still need to start living poor now. Don’t take this opportunity to put yourselves in an at least comfortable position. If you can take out a HELOC as extra insurance.

Ok, no. You are still in a really bad situation! Figure out a plan for how to make money in December. Figure out your taxes and expenses. You both need to take this more seriously. The long term not just the short term.

You have a spending issue if you are wanting to go away in a pandemic and haven't paid your bills.
