This.

Well, he HAD to see this coming. From what the other women have said, it doesn't seem like he was really trying to hide anything that much.

He didn't sleep around on me. I don't feel like he owes me an apology.

As for Tiger, well, he opens himself up to scorn for being a liar and a cheater. Had he just cheated, he would just be an adulterer. But, he not only cheated but he lied. He lied to his wife, his colleagues and his fans. He put himself out as the golden boy, the family man. Meanwhile he was banging every chick he could. People had a lot staked on him and his reputation (sponsors, PGA, etc.) The folks on the Tour have been subjected to Tiger questions for MONTHS now, instead of the sport. So, yes, he did have to apologize.

As for the press conference. It was pathetic. I'm sure he is remorseful. He is remorseful for losing money, bad press and having to own his mistakes. The fact that he brought up his charity and his charity work ("look at me, look what I do, I'm not all bad, really") made me want to puke. I'm finding it laughable that anyone would see that for anything other than it was.

I thought you just wrote that you did not know him. So if that is a true statement, how can you now purport to know what is in his heart. Or, what he is or is not remorseful for. Hmm, you lash out at others for making judgment calls, but yet you did the same thing. Hypocrite.

I'm not the PP you quoted, but I disagree with you. One thing is to judge when you are only making assumptions. Saying the conference was pathetic and that it is clear that he is remorseful for the financial aspect of it is just analyzing what was shown on TV today. Doesn't take knowing him personally.

I don't know what is in his heart or what is true or not (I doubt even Tiger does). I was judging his performance at the press conference and what I observed, that he did not appear (based on that) to be remorseful. Bringing up his charity work as a means of offsetting his behavior is a clear sign to me. It's deflecting from his actions. I also said that he opened himself up for such judgments and scorn by his behavior, unlike Elin. So, I don't think anything I said was hypocritical.
Ass.

Ok, I should not have resorted to the PP's level of using slurs and name calling.
So, I apologize for that aspect of my post.

You are so kind. Bless you dear.

Thank you. I feel strongly that we, as a nation, are never going to heal unless we all find it in our hearts to forgive Tiger for what he did.

He is a man, and are not 50% of americans men, with men's needs? They are weak, frail creatures, but with very real needs.

I didn't know American men were such frail weenies! Very sad.

Very sad indeed. There was a study done not too long ago that confirmed this (but not just Americans)! Not very surprising to most though.

Okay, I just watched his statement. My first reaction is the guy has got gonads to go and make public statement like this. I give him credit for that.

My second reaction was that this really fits his persona. He has been in rehab for sex addicts (at least according to the tabloid press and he did say he was getting treatment for his "issues" so I assume it's true). This kind of "making amends" really fits that addiction treatment model. I bet he has figured he is going to tackle this whole recovery thing and star at it just the way he has starred at golf by doing everything the way you're supposed to do it and doing it perfectly.

So I think he is sincere in his intentions but I don't think he has quite come to terms with his problems yet. But that's normal for recovering addicts. This doesn't happen overnight. I wish him and his family luck. He's got a long road ahead of him.
