Not sure I would do Pen15 for a 10y old...and we are pretty liberal with viewing. Also, when DS was 10y he would have probably crawled under the table vs watch that with us. But it was hilarious!

Merlin is great if you like fantasy, and Star Trek: The Next Generation if you like sci fi. Warehouse 13 is a fun action-fantasy series about a team of FBI agents hunting down enchanted artifacts. I haven't watched Eureka, but I've heard good things about it, and there's some overlap between it at Warehouse 13.

The Good Place is great for conversation-starters, and very funny. Lots of bad behavior, but it's definitely framed as being bad, and many of the references will probably go right over the 10yo's head.

Parks & Rec is a huge favorite in our house, along with Brooklyn 99. I think a lot of Community would have gone over her head at age 10, and she wouldn't have found it very funny.

If they like Marvel movies, Agents of Shield is a great series, and they just wrapped up the last of a whole bunch of seasons, 6 or 7, I think.

If you're into animation, Gravity Falls is hilarious.

16 is really different than 10.

16 I would let them watch almost anything. (I wouldn’t necessarily be in the room with them if it was seriously sexy or anything.)

You should just say a 10 year old.
