Juniors. Mine just got October scores back: 36, 34, 33– and a 26 in science. *facepalm*. Humanities kid, but her practice tests were much better. She wants a retake now while she’s prepped. Finger crossed. F

Your poor kid. And not because of the 29.

No, my current senior had 4 tests cancelled there since April.

How far in advance do they cancel?

Parent of senior usually at least a week before though nightmare stories of kids finding out when they show up. Call the testing center though. CB doesn’t always update it so if you find a center is closed maybe you can switch into another before deadline. Also check CB online the morning of. Good luck!

My dd was scheduled to take the SAT at Yorktown but we just found it was cancelled. I was able to get her in at a HS in Latham MD instead. I am now contesting the late fee I was charged for registering for the new location.

Has anyone heard if Justice in Falls Church is a go for December? Anyone with a crystal ball have ideas on when this will settle down? So hard for kids to push to prep for a test they may or may not take. Maybe July is a safe-ish bet?

Wilson did not open for students this fall due to COVID. Can’t see them opening to administer the ACT or SAT.

I have a junior currently scheduled for a Feb 2021 ACT in MoCo. Kid is in precalc now (and math was her weak spot on practice ACT). Hoping for no cancellation and prepping over Christmas break.

Damn. So upsetting. My DDs is still open but I assume its just a matter of time until it's cancelled.

I'm still telling DD to prep, but it feels very hollow at this point. How do you really prep when you know the chances are the the test likely won't go forward.

Welcome to the world of the class of 2021. We felt the same way.

Honestly, I don't know what's safe but MoCo is not. They cancelled when other localities were open August SAT/ACT etc.

+1. Your chances are better in VA, than MD or WV. We’ve had test centers cancelled here but our VA centers held.
