online class -- naked Borat photo

And we wonder why teachers are stressed right now.

He’s not naked - really just dressed for a European beach.

most likely, I am pretty sure she wants to #OPENFCPS when its not safe to do so.

Your kid has probably seen worse in his free time on his chrome book.

Lol. Even liberal news outlets are now reporting that schools aren’t a major source of Covid spread and outbreaks. The risk will never be zero. It’s time to go back!

It was an accident, OP.

Given you showed your son the same photo, are you going to throw stones?

Anonymous wrote:OP here. Saying nothing was my instinct, as well, once I figured out what the photo was but a more conservative friend was advising otherwise so wanted to get a larger opinion... I mean, I sure don't want to see that ugly naked photo but it pops up on practically every site right now!

I think SBC is hot, excuse you!

It's really hard to live stream a video (the alleged movie trailer) onto another virtual/live platform (Zoom) .

I show multiple short You Tube videos every day with my class on Zoom (seasons, days of the week, counting, letter of the day, etc).

I wouldn’t say anything. Clearly it was a mistake. Could happen to anyone.

Something similar happened last year in my 5th grader’s class. In this case it was a YouTube video about something legit (science maybe), and in the preview ad the word “shit” was said- teacher didn’t click off quite fast enough lol. Teacher was an older lady near retirement, not that tech savvy really. Everyone thought it was quite funny, as far as I know. No need to make problems over it. No problems with that teacher- she was wonderful- just an honest mistake.

Really, who cares, OP. Are you offended too when on vacation and you pass the pool on your way to dinner and you see people by the pool in bathing suits? I bet you’re real fun in the sack.

Teachers should use safe share and not share their screen until they are 100% what they will watch it appropriate.

When Somebody says "a naked man", I really think naked. Borat is wearing the mask as a speedo.

Teachers should really avoid using the internet any more than they have to. Things like this are bound to happen.

What's safe share?

I think you should email the teacher and advise that they not do anything on the internet that has ads or other things they don't know so that they don't get nasty surprises like this.

Hell, I don't browse YouTube when my kids are watching or do any google image searches because you can come up with some CRAZY results. It's foolish to do this during class with elementary kids.
