Nope. Maybe cocoa and smores and firepit outside. My dd is turning 5 in feb. we will have grandparents (in our pod already) and the nanny and maybe maybe her bff and parents. But the adults will all get tested and quarantine week before if we do that. We always have a home dinner party on the day anyway and did a small 3 kid party last year so at least i don't have the precedent of a bog blowout to manage. |
No. We've had 3 birthdays so far, including a 40th birthday celebration, all done with just our nuclear family, no guests. It's been great, actually. So much less stress. The introvert life suits me ![]() |
No. Are you part of a pod? We did a party with our nanny share, but it was only the other family and our nanny. We had balloons, presents, snack food, and cupcakes. Depending on how old you kid is, that's special enough.
Outdoors is a good idea too. DC winters aren't that bad! It sucks. I know it sucks. I'm sorry. |
This sounds unappealing, covid aside. |
+1 Best way to do this is to figure out who your children want to invite and then feel out the parents. Then you would know what type of party would work best. |
I would not attend the indoor option. I would consider the outdoor option though. |
