Do you believe temperament begins in the womb?

I don't think that there is a correlation between parental stress while the kid is utero and personality, but I do think that, for my kids, their activity level in the womb correlated with their activity out of the womb. My very active and athletic youngest moved noticeably more than his brothers. It wouldn't surprise me if there was a correlation.

Not true for me. My most athletic and active son was the most laid back in the womb - to the point of me worrying! He was also the biggest so maybe he just didn’t have enough room.

Likewise my super active in womb son has been super chill since coming out 11 years ago. His brother was less active then and is more active now. That doesn’t quite seem to be what OP is asking about though

Eh. There’s so much about genetics and nurture, and the intersection of the two, that we just don’t know at all.

And because you asked: I was extremely anxious during pregnancy, had a brutal birth, and have a super chill, happy-go-lucky kid (age 13).

I do. I took a long time to get preggnant with my first and was always anxious with that pregnancy. Child has had anxious tendencies and is super sensitive to anything and everything since around 3 months old (not kidding!). My second was a much more laid back pregnancy and she's super easy going.

My boy moved a lot more than my girls and he is very agitated compared to them
