Scared to hug kids

I hug my kid all the time and it never occur to me to refrain because they have just come from A, B or C and have had contact with other kids in this covid times. I mean, in all honesty, these are MY kids - what is good for the goose is good for the gander.

Man, the mom shaming is so unfortunate. Everyone deserves a break right now, sahm or otherwise. Mental health is extremely important for parents and children. OP, Many day cares and preschools are in session successfully right now, and we are learning how to cope with this change in the health landscape. I don’t think hugging and kissing your child is going to put you at any greater risk than sending her to school in the first place. If you’re comfortable with the precautions, go for it. You can always withdraw her. If something in your gut doesn’t feel right or if you’re going to be more stressed than happy for her, find other preschoolers not attending and set up play dates with them. Do outdoor music together classes. Etc.

OP here. You must not have read my initial post. I am strongly leaning to not sending her back at all. I’m worried about my families health. She wants to go back and needs more socialization than she is getting right now. She has literally been in one store since the first week of March. We have taken this EXTREMELY seriously. It’s not that I “need my personal time back” because WTF does that even mean. I’ll spend the time she’s at school cleaning my house and doing laundry, but please. Carry on with your idea that SAHM’s just watch Bravo and get pedicures all day

I've been a SAHM for 12 years and counting, so I get how it works. And no I wouldn't send a 3 year old under these circumstances.
