Just popping in to say how much I love how you are supporting one another. Pelvic floor PT is life renewing.

Just following up on this- are there any PTs who specialize in pelvic floor issues who take insurance?

Jessica Trosch was mentioned in an earlier post but according to the website for her PT firm, she does not take insurance.

I have BCBS PPO to the extent that it matters.

thanks in advance!

Try the practices at Georgetown Hospital, NAtional Rehab Hospital on K street, and GW Hospital. All should take insurance.

Not sure if this is a silly question, but possible to work with a pelvic floor PT virtually? Or does it really have to be in person to be effective?

I think the first appointment they’d need to evaluate you in person. I think they’d be hesitant to give you exercises without seeing and feeling your vaginal wall muscles etc. maybe even the second appointment. But if you had minor issues, that might be enough to see you virtually for a couple more appointments and send you on your way.

I think it depends on your issue too. I have a lot of tightness and spasms so I think going in person is beneficial so she can release the trigger points.

Re-upping this to see if anyone has any recs for a pelvic floor PT at Kaiser. I love them 95% of the time but their search function at least doesn't show any pelvic floor PTs. I know I can ask my doc for a referral but would love any specific names if people on here have suggestions. Thank you!

Dorina Kroll with https://www.potomacptandrehab.com/ Is INCREDIBLE. She will come to your house and provides personal recommendations. I can't recommend her enough for any type of physical therapy you need.

I saw Prathima Reddy at Capitol Hill and thought she was excellent. I think she splits her time between two centers. She isn't the most chatty person of all time, which I noticed only because I'm a nervous talker, but she fixed my issue and I'm super grateful!
