For our club, when someone tests positive they cancel the season and only refund $150. I hope I can do this again next season - nothing like losing 70-80% of my fees every season. |

Our club shut down all activities for the week given a confirmed COVID-19 case (player). While contact tracing suggests the infected player only practiced with a subset of the club (three age groups, U11-13), the club opted to suspend all activity.
While not explicitly communicated, I suspect the decision stems from the coach(s) who interacted with the infected player and their potential role(s) as virus spreaders. An interesting outcome from this decision is whether the club will continue to take such action going forward. That is, after any confirmed case, shutting down all activity. Will make it difficult, if not impossible, for the club to practice and/or play this fall. |
