Bucknell engineering

Anonymous
My HS senior got a project with UMD this summer, remotely due to covid-19. The teacher was helpful and we are very grateful, but the teacher is also busy. You have to be a self-starter and self-organized.

my DD was also looking into Bucknell but ultimately decided to go with Emory engineering

I would not go there is you need a lot of aid. It’s a school for rich kids from CT and PA who can’t get into the top schools. It’s a very good school. I know a lot of people who went there, and they all have good jobs and live in multi million homes, but they all grew up at least UMC and could afford full pay.

I do know one person who went there on scholarship, and they also happen to be a graduate of the engineering program. Really smart person with a good job now.

Don’t forget NJ. Bucknell, Lehigh, Lafayette, Villanova, and any NE LAC could almost be considered in state schools for NJ because there are so many NJ students there.

Oh heavens! Not New Jersey people! Some of them don’t even believe in Jesus!

Oh just wait. You’ll see. NJ kids don’t Typically socialize with non nj kids if given a choice.

+1. I experienced this for a long time, before knowing this was basically a thing (albeit an in acknowledged by those defensive about it).

Have you considered Emory engineering? It's in between Bucknell and UMD in size

Yep. The engineering school at Emory, called Imaginarium, is wonderful!
