Today we went to Beaver. Dam quarry outside of Baltimore. It was great. We kept our distance as much as possible. |
Yes, we have been going. |
Yes. Outside + chlorine + sun + social distance? We barely go anywhere but the pool seems like a worthwhile risk.

+1, been going for weeks. Safer the the grocery store, |
I'm super cautious and won't do a lot of things yet that other people have been fine with, but we've been going to the pool. It's a private one for our building and they set up timed passes and you can see how many others have reserved for any slot, so we go mid-day on weekdays thanks to my work schedule that lets us go when we essentially have it to ourselves. We don't go on weekends though as it's too crowded and people try to sneak guests in even though we're not supposed to allow them this year to limit space for owners. |
We go pretty much every day. |
No. Just saw a picture of friends who paid for the pool (we suspended membership). They were in pool chairs (supposed to bring their own and the pool’s are supposed to be in storage). Plus no one was wearing a mask. Bring your furniture and wearing mask were two of the things the pool said was going to be strictly upheld. They asked members to please not join if they did not intend to follow the rules. So, I can see my friends did not intend to follow the rules (and it looks like the pool is not upholding their own rules). And I know we couldn’t expect teenagers to police adults. I am very glad that I decided not to join this summer. |
Yes, we've gone twice - you can't do 10 feet distancing when there are people in every lane. The kids next to us would NOT get away from us and one of them was coughing, so we won't be going anywhere or seeing anything for the next two weeks. |
Sorry, I wrote yes, but I meant to answer your question with NO, I wouldn't go. We went twice, and we won't go again unless we can reserve two lanes (which I think we might be able to do). |
I wouldn't necessarily assume not rule following. We didn't put out our furniture until Phase 3 (which we are in now) and we don't require members to wear masks while sitting a their own table. So if your friends were sitting at their table not wearing their masks, its okay. Similarly, if they were in the water they can't have masks. |
If we can enter patio directly without going through a locker room area, maybe. |
We are so lucky that empty nester neighbors gave us free access to their pool which they rarely use. Our club pool with all of its restrictions would not be a lot of fun. |
Hell no |
+1 been going since June. Kids jump up and down in the pool with a kid or two that’s around but I say no conversations out of the pool or at all with any other “mommies” (adults). I sit alone or swim w kids and we mask to the bathroom. Stick to M-W earliest times so it’s not crowded. |
