Funny - I would never in a million years allow anyone to grope me for 5 minutes, let alone 15. How bizarre to just sit there and not slap him or shout out to stop. And that’s assuming this claim is even true. |
+1 Couldn’t possibly have been politically motivated. ![]() |
Maybe if there was just a *shred* of evidence, rather than mere “he said, she said.” Just a thought. |
She ran to the back of the airplane. What else do you want? |
From the Guardian piece about Gilberthorpe:
“ They got on so well that Trump gave the cufflinks he was wearing to Gilberthorpe, then a teenager, at the end of the flight. Neither the New York Post nor the Trump campaign would say if he has been paid for his intervention.” |
Gilberthorpe in 1997 (from the Guardian link):
1997: Betrayed his friend Piers Merchant MP, who had come to Gilberthorpe’s home for a weekend visit with his mistress. After cheery goodbyes, Merchant and his girlfriend later found quotes from their pillow-talk and photos of them in bed splashed all over the Sunday Mirror. “Gilby, it transpired, had fitted out the spare-room with hidden cameras and microphones and shopped his loyal friend to the tabloid for £25,000.” |
Sorry, the Mother Jones link |
This is from the Guardian article.
In 2014, Gilberthorpe told the Daily Mirror he went “trawling” the streets to procure underage boys for Tory MPs for sex and drugs parties – including some in Margaret Thatcher’s cabinet. He claimed to have recruited rent boys, the “youngest and prettiest”, for parties at conferences in Blackpool in 1983 and to have attended parties in Brighton in 1981 and 1984. He named high-ranking politicians, all of whom were by then dead, as being part of the paedophile parties when he spoke to the Mirror, calling himself a “whistleblower”. |
18 = age of consent. Are you one of those GOPers who describe former House GOP members Dan Burton's and Henry Hyde's extramarital liasions as occurring in their youth when they were 44 and 41 respectively. |
The idea that an 18-year-old remembered the face of a 35-year-old woman for 25 years is laughable. Gilberthorpe said he has a “photographic memory” but c’mon. |
Most rape allegations are he said/she said, which is why men usually get away with it. For prominent persons who have been taken down, like Cosby and Weinstein, their initial accusers were dismissed. But when 3+ women all told the same story, people started to believe them, and ultimately, many more came out. This works against Trump. On the other hand, it worked in favor of Kavanaugh, so it's not a conservative/liberal thing. If more women had come out against him, history would have turned out differently. |
Do explain. How does looking at Trump’s TWENTY-FIVE accusers exonerate Biden? Why are you linking the two men? MeToo says ALL accusations need to be investigated and then decided on their merits. |
In 2014 he also claimed he told Margaret Thatcher about the parties. Thatcher died in 2013. |
After 15 minutes of (allegedly) being groped? Why didn’t she immediately get up and leave? Sounds completely made up. |
Where are you getting 15 minutes? Cite, please! Maybe she pushed him away for a while. But he is a persistent sob, so she finally gave up. |
