If daycare opens July 1, would you be comfortable sending your 3 year old?

TOO RISKY. may find a part time nanny instead. This way he is only exposed to one person.

No. Not before a vaccine. Which will be next year.

This. Although exposure will probably be less likely because ours is decreasing enrollment.

A vaccine will come next year if we are lucky. There is no guarantee of a vaccine that quickly, or even at all.

How are they handling that? Attrition or kicking people out. Will they charge more?

Nope. Are you sure you can't afford a nanny?

Now that you will have not paid for daycare for 3 months, if you spread that money out, wouldn't it cover the difference in cost?

Also, can you afford to get coronavirus?
Anonymous
Yes. Mine (Toddler and 7 month old) have been in daycare the entire time, as DH and I are both essential workers.

Maybe this will change, but the few folks I know who are trying to find nannies now are having an awful hard time doing so.

Oh, and plenty of people are still paying for (Closed) daycare!

Very strange. Maybe they aren’t trying very hard.

Absolutely.

And I expect much fewer regular colds etc because those have stopped circulating.
