So he overpaid AND the kits aren’t being used.
His Korean wife just rolled the people of Maryland for millions of dollars. Disgusting and sad that so many people here defend him. |

I also believe that Hogan acted in good faith.
Here's an article by the head of a hospital in Massachusetts that details what he has to do to procure PPE for his hospital. https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMc2010025?page=3 "A lead came from an acquaintance of a friend of a team member. After several hours of vetting, we grew confident of the broker’s professional pedigree and the potential to secure a large shipment of three-ply face masks and N95 respirators.... Having acquired the requisite funds — more than five times the amount we would normally pay for a similar shipment, but still less than what was being requested by other brokers — we set the plan in motion." "Two semi-trailer trucks, cleverly marked as food-service vehicles, met us at the warehouse. When fully loaded, the trucks would take two distinct routes back to Massachusetts to minimize the chances that their contents would be detained or redirected." |
She's an American. |
Not to Trumpsters. Only white people are "real" Americans. |
+1 As soon as Hogan announced that he had obtained the test kits, I knew that Trump would come out with something negative to say about the governor! I think that Gov. Hogan acted in good faith, and I am glad that he is protecting the kits he has obtained. Hopefully, the state will be able to get the additional components needed so that more of us can take these tests soon. I have not been a fan of Hogan, and never voted for him, but I think he's done a great job for us during this crisis. |
| He got the test Trump failed again. |
I voted for Baker, thank you. You voted for republican scum. |
You wrote in Rushern Baker's name in November 2018? That was dumb. Why didn't you vote for Ben Jealous? Did you also vote for Ralph Nader in November 2000 and Jill Stein in November 2016? |
| Hogan got a donation of 1,600 doses of Remdesivir, which he will send to Prince Georges and Montgomery counties. |
Just another consequence of “expert” hysteria. Tragic. |
No, they were producing millions of test kits. The problem is that the federal government is preventing blue states from actually acquiring any of those kits. If you don't believe it look at what happened to Massachusetts. They order and paid for kits and the DHS waylaid the shipment and stole it from Massachusetts. Hogan deliberately made secret arrangements with S Korea, and had the test kits flown directly to BWI, where Hogan and his staff met the plane and secretly conveyed the shipment to a storage location that only a few state employees know the location of. And he did all this to ensure that the Trump administration did not hijack that shipment like they did with shipments for other states. |
How many people have to die from covid before you concede there's a problem? |
First time I’ve read that here |
|
If we’re going to open up the country, we’re going to need more testing kits than what is currently available, despite reassurances otherwise from Trump.
|
Hence why Hogan is keeping his tests hidden and under guard because he's worried that the Trump administration will seize it and redistribute it to like Montana or Alaska or some other state |
