Thanks Attorney Anonymous. But the real questions are, (1) is Mass "essential," and (2) can you stay 6 feet away from people? The answer to (2) is clearly "yes". Don't know where states and the District have come down on #1.

So, for example, landscaping is apparently OK, even though cutting my grass and spreading mulch don't seem particularly essential (termite control is more arguable).

Let's see how states and the District come down on this, instead of paying attention to haters like PP.

Where in the federal guidance or state law does it say "stay home unless you can stay 6 feet away from people then go where you want".

It does not. It says stay home. Rationalize it how you want, but defending non-compliance STILL proves you are a sociopath.

Not PP, but I believe the VA guidance says that commuting to religious services is part of the exception. So I'd assume this type of activity would be excepted. Still ridiculous when safer options, such as live streaming, are out there.

Specifically, this is the exception language: Traveling to and from one’s residence, place of worship, or work;

An anti-Catholic bigot is a sociopath. People who are looking at actual words like essential in [b]actual laws/regulations, and who are waiting for actual interpretations that exempt some groups (like landscapers) to leave home simply to cut grass, are merely reasonable and measured.

Drop the hysteria and name-calling. Let's all wait for the states to decide who's exempt and who's not, and what's essential and what's not. It seems like a lot of things, not just this, will need to shake out over the next few days.

Sorry for all the bolding, but it seems to necessary for you.

And what happens if your car breaks down, and now you are exposed to the tow guy and the repair shop guy? Or now you need gas, so exposure there.

There are 1,900 ways to experience Mass at home. Or just pray and read the Bible.

Stay. Home!
