There are already a ton of online resources providing curricula and packets on top of what the schools are already sending out, so unfortunately I wouldn't need this. Best of luck to you, though. |
But I’m not. So does this exist? |
I'm the PP who posted before you - I've been using the packets from Education.com - they have one for pre-K and every grade. |
I don't see how this could possibly work. If OP is thinking that I say, "I have a 12 year old 6th grader doing 7th grade math," she will automatically know which unit he is in the middle of, which ones he's done, which ones he already knows, which ones he has coming up, etc? By the time I find out exactly where my kids are in each topic and unit, I could get the information and find a curriculum. Even saying factoring isn't enough. (My kid started factoring in 4th and is doing it again in Algebra 1.) You need to be extremely specific - that's what gets so complicated in all this. Beginning home schooling at the start of every school year, knowing what you just finished and where you're headed, is MUCH different from where kids are in the middle of the third quarter of a school year. |
I'd want to see how you were qualified first. Just because you've been teaching your own kids for 8 years doesn't actually mean you are doing a good job. (I'm not being a jerk, I'm sure you are doing great, but I'm certainly not going to just trust it because you say so.) |
Right, exactly - there are already several online resources that can help you figure this out. Even some that align their recommendations to teach state's standards of learning. Why would I pay a person to look this up, when I can do it myself in front of the tv tonight? |
I dont need a plan, I need someone to help/supervise while I work. |
