No, I'm not making those comparisons -- that doesn't track. I'm saying it's an odd choice of venue, unless he intends to mock it while there.

BTW, I have zero problems with Bloomberg's billions. He earned them, he's giving it away for causes I support and if he is the nominee, that frees up DNC money for down-ballot races, so the pragmatist in me says I'm good with him running. At least we know it's HIS money and not dark money fueling candidates who are beholden.

Yes, they do. The facilities are superior to anything in those areas. I live in McLean and basically everyone I know with kids in travel sports is going to STJ for something. It is nothing like a typical gym as some pps have tried to say. I’ve not been to other gyms that have full service spas, restaurants with filet mignon, $18 hamburgers and wine, etc. It’s the complete opposite of Sanders’ populist message and quite done def of his campaign to hold an event there.

It’s a place that on the weekends you probably have to pay $10 to valet park unless you are a member and then you can park in the special member parking lot. It’s not for the 1%ers, it’s for the 0.0000001%ers and it’s 99% white, except if you work there. My kids plays a club sport that was bought by the st James and so we are there several times a week and somehow found ourselves on this marketing email list. We get their marketing emails several times a week (despite unsubscribing). This is a tone deaf location. If Fox News, Trump or SNL finds out about this, it’s comedy gold.

I attended as an invitee. What would you like to know? There was no charge for general parking, but didn’t look like attendees could use the whole lot. There was $10 valet parking available according to signs by the main entrance. People attending the rally used doors on the side of the building and it was held on the football/soccer field. We parked at the shopping center on Hechinger Drive and walked.

Yes, I realize that but depending on your level of membership, many amenities are included (10 hours/week of childcare, free admission to the waterpark during specific hours, various discounts for other services, etc.). There are spa packages that include a monthly facial and/or massage. Trust me, I know that nothing is free but it seems like you can really make the most of membership at this playground for the whole family.
