Can you hire some high school life guards type people to hop in the pool for an hour? Get on nextdoor.com or ask the community swim place if they can recommend. It might cost you an extra $40-60 to get more staffing but you need it. Don’t assume all parents will get in, plus you will always have that one parent who thinks their child swims better than they can. An hour is a long time for them to play in the water. Make sure there are lots of flotation devices. Go over safety rules with each kid before — ie no jumping on top of other kids and no pulling. If you have those staff people they could help with this. 75% of the kids will be good kids and you will also have some wild ones who wreak havoc.
I think you should clear the pool 15 min before cake time so everyone can get changed. People will probably be cold by then, too. For the decorations, maybe scuba diver/aquarium theme or Little Mermaid? |
