It highlights the archaic attitudes of those with racial and economic biases. |
Uh, no it doesn't |
Says you. And you’re an anonymous specter so I don’t care what you say. |
If you didn't care what people say on anonymous message boards, you wouldn't have come in and started arguing and accusing people of racism. lol |
| No need to stress stay out the city problem solved. |
How does some DCUM poster not coming into DC solve the problem of repeated shootings on that corner? Either for the people shot or those in the neighborhood? |
Please...like you give a shit about those people.
You call em thugs and animals and do nothing but make negative assumptions about their character and competence. Why you pretending to be so broke up about their pain and struggle? |
God, I think this is the same poster who comes into every thread about DC crime and accuses everyone of being racist, either being too stupid or intentionally ignoring the fact that they are talking to multiple anonymous people on the internet rather than just one. This person turns a whole thread of discussion into one boogeyman "white suburb resident who hates black people," as if there is a conspiracy by "the man" against the poor black folks in DC |
Nice analysis. Still doesn’t change the fact that you don’t give a shit about those people you just like to espouse animosity towards them. |
Im the person you're responding to and I haven't made a single comment in this entire thread about black people in DC. You are a complete moron |
I am completely fine with segregating criminals from law abiding citizens. Yes, the big elephant in the room is that majority of criminals in DC are African American. There is no way in getting around that fact. I as an African American myself should feel safe in DC. However, it breaks my heart to admit this, but I am fine with law enforcement being aggressive to curb the violence in DC. I used to reside in Houston and in Dallas. I never felt unsafe in those cities even when I left establishments at 1 in the morning. You know why? Texas does not coddle criminals like they do in DC. Also, I was able to conceal and carry. In DC people make excuses for criminals and give them a free pass because too many white people fear being called racists and too many African Americans fear seeing one of our going to prison. So, until this type of attitude changes in DC, then crime will increase especially when summer rolls around. It seems like law enforcement here have their hands tied. They are damned if they do and damned if they don't. People complain about crime in DC, but they also complain about police officers, politicians, judges, etc. who enforce punishment on those same criminals. The residents in DC have to decide if they want to continue making excuses for criminals or do they really want criminals to suffer the consequences of their actions. It is so nauseating to see folks twist themselves in a pretzel because everyone is fearful of addressing the big elephant in the room. It is either segregation from criminal elements or have fun living amongst criminal elements. You can't have it both ways. |
| Wow there are some really dumb posters on this forum. 90% for segregation. Riiigghhtt. It is not about race. It is about economic situation and about youths with nothing else to do and no where to go. |
Fascinating. So tell us more. What do you have in mind when you say being aggressive? You wouldn’t by any chance be advocating for increased racial profiling and implying that all black low income residents lose their legal right to presumption of innocence would you? |
And about the Republican Supreme Court and gun CEOs and the Republican donor class flooding our cities with guns (to get red-state voters to vote for billionaires’ tax cuts.) |

Another multiple shooting at same corner, 14th and V, earlier this week:
