| because you are an asshole of course! |
+1 I don’t like dogs and having several of them approach me or even follow me briefly on runs is so stressful. Ruins my peace. |
I don’t like cyclists on the trails I hate to move over to the side and change my pace too but I tolerate them because I don’t expect public places and strangers to be exactly to my liking. It is part of living in a community. You make accommodations and tolerate the presence of others. See how that works. |
The difference is that it’s not illegal to bike on trails. It is illegal to let your animal off leash on trails. If you can’t follow the law, stay off the trails. See how that works? |
| Because they're entitled special snowflakes and Murphy is just friendly!!! |
Except for those leash laws that the dog owners are violating v. the mere preference to avoid cyclists. The cyclists is not doing anything illegal; the dog owner who lets It's-Just-FRIENDLY off leash is. |
Not in the state of Maryland. In Maryland it means DOG IS LEASHED BY OWNER. Sorry to burst your bubble. |
This was exactly our dog (who passed away). We always kept him on a leash and avoided other dogs. And when he encountered off leash dogs whose owners would say their dog was friendly it never went well. Luckily he never got in a fight but it was always super stressful. We had neighbors move in a previous TH community who would just open the door and let the dogs out. It was awful |
