You don’t know what goes on behind closed doors. I used to tell people I wasn’t ready or wasn’t sure bc I was in infertility hell, going through failed ivfs, miscarriages, etc. I found it was an easy way to nip speculation on if I was pregnant (when I wasn’t drinking bc of Ivf or whatever), or having people pester me to go ahead and have a baby when I would have pretty much done anything possible to have one. Until you’ve lived endless infertility, you can’t understand.

It is wonderful news for her. However, given her fertility struggle and her age, she definitely used donor eggs. Sometimes, celebrities giving birth in their late 40s is so deceiving for people. IVF simply doesn’t work for women in their late 40s. Donor eggs are basically their only chance. Anyway, it’s nice that she was able to have a child.

Even though I read online about people getting pregnant naturally at fifty (!), I never believe these crazy stories.
Most especially since they seem to only happen to people on the internet.

She could have frozen her eggs, but I am guessing they went the surrogate route.

Getting pregnant naturally at fifty happens - and is extremely rare -- to women who already had children. Which is not the case with Cameron Diaz. But congrats, anyway!

She could have frozen her eggs, for all we know . She certainly has the resources to afford the best.
