I’m blocking MIL and SIL from FB

You sound very immature. I agree with another poster that you need to grow up.

Everyone..... except they say they don't.

I stopped using FB because it was doing me more harm than good. Seems to apply to OP as well.

No dramatic exit or announcement. Just stopped logging in.

Just have it set up to review tags and no one is allowed to post anything on my wall- I'm selective about who sees certain posts- FB also has that function. No one is allowed to tag me on FB- people see what I want them to see.

It's a really good idea to prevent tagging and allowing others to post on your wall anyway-- I had an ex -friend years ago who went looney-tunes and started an argument by tagging me and posting on my wall. Of course I blocked her, but I also enacted those functions to prevent any future embarrassment in case someone else decided to go crazy or let out their inner racist.

Blocking them is going to cause additional drama once they figure out that they are blocked. Why do that? It sounds like your MIL and SIL are enough drama already.

So block SIL. End of story.

What's immature is implying someone needs to continue as is on a social media platform to appease two gossipy and inappropriate individuals. Being mature is controlling your environment and removing yourself from toxicity.

DO IT. My block list is about 5 screens long.

NP.

Yes, they will. My own inlaws remarked frequently about my posts.

Who cares if they notice? Just state your boundary and stand by it. OP is an adult.

I did not say I cared. I said they would notice. I blocked my own mil.

Ha! My SIL unfriended me and other SILs and MIL from Facebook. I had never commented on any of her posts. She's high-maintenance and difficult to be around. DH's family really tries with her but nothing is ever enough. I'm sure it's good riddance all around.
