What info do you put on clothing labels?

Email address. School doesn’t check labels, just dumps everything into the lost and found. But when my kid lost his hat & gloves at a random store, they were able to contact me and return them.

And if I found some random hat, I would not be calling you to hunt you down. Sorry.

My 2 boys frequently lose gloves and leave jackets at school. I buy 2-3 pairs of gloves per year. They still get lost. Boys have left coat on the bus, in the gym, at the playground. We have always gotten jackets back. Usually at school lost and found. Gloves drive me nuts. We clip them to coat in the winter. They still manage to get lost.

My sons have never lost a pair of gloves because of this trick I use. I sew buttons inside the cuffs of the jacket and inside the gloves. Then I use elastics with buttonholes and attach one end of the elastic to the jacket and the other end to the glove. This way, I can easily remove the elastics when needed.

If your child has an old pair of pants with adjustable waist, you can simply take out the elastic and cut off the length you need. Otherwise you could always buy it on Amazon or at a fabric store.

I only use last name. We have a unique last name and four kids so we can pass items down and not need to change the label. I just sharpie directly on the item in an inconspicuous place.

Same exact here. Except I include my cell number when possible.

Really? Someone tried to keep your kids coat? Hoodie? I really want to know!
