I honestly think he's too akward too. He also brought up on the phone he wants to talk about being exclusive.

Are you afraid of commitment? He's been on a couple dates. He likes you and is attracted to you. Apparently you were attracted to him until he let you know he was attracted to you. Is this grade school? In 6 months, OP will be on here starting a thread about how miserable online dating is while this guy will be progressing thru a normal dating relationship with a normal woman.

Btw, if someone mentioned exclusivity to me before I was ready, I wouldn't hold it against them. I would simply tell them I wasn't ready yet, blaming recent history and moving too fast in the past but reassuring them that I like them too and I could see it going there.

He called me beautiful.

That's not a pet name. A pet name is something like honey, sweetie blah blah

I never thought I was an overly affectionate person - woman here - but I call my love my “sweetheart”, and have never called anyone that before.

He asked me out Friday night, I said I might be busy I'd let him know. He said Saturday night would work too. Is that too eager?

Too desperate

I think calling somebody "beautiful" or "handsome" is really just a way to get into the other person's pants.

Sweetie, Honey, Bubsy, those are pet names.

Yep. It's a compliment, not a pet name. It's designed to make her feel good and there is nothing wrong with that. If you are finding fault with the comment, you are trying too hard to see something.

Stop manufacturing reasons and just move on if you don't want to date him. He's not playing games but you are trying to get guys to play up to the stereotype of wait 3 days to call, pretend like you aren't interested so they'll need you, etc...

He's not playing games. You are. Either dump him or don't but stop looking for crap that isn't there and stop posting about things that are not problems.

OP is going to overplay her hand and next month she is going to see him out with someone younger and hotter and come here to post about how she messed up.

Lol. Hey this guy is perfect but maybe too perfect. Is that a red flag?

Hey, my date opened a door for me and held it, should I dump him?

This is what happens when they close all the mental hospitals.

He called me beautiful after 3 dates, asked for a Friday date, I was hesitant and asked for a Saturday date. That is pushy to me.
