No, they are an option. If the car has yellow calipers like below then run away. They are designed for track use but squeaky, super expensive to replace, and total overkill for a daily driver.

That Porsche has been the biggest POS we've ever owned. But she needs an appropriate "image" vehicle for work. So we deal with it.

Find a decent independent stat- you are getting abused by the dealer.

Just look at the resale on European junk.vs Japanese SUVs Heck any German vehicle that has over 100,000 miles isn't even worth 10 grand.

European cars and SUVs are total junk. They fall apart and are super expensive to fix. All the people who talk about the great performance capabilities don't ever exceed 55 mph in the dence crappy traffic jams that they drive in everyday!!

Some big pluses with a Lexus.
1. Reliably
2. Resale value.
3. You can actually find a decent all Terrain tie for them. You can get a decent snow rated tire. And even drive on the sand at the beach.
4. A Lexus is capable to drive on a gravel road!!
5. A European auto is just a silly money pit.

You can ask any mechanic. If you are going to buy your wife a new SUV. Would you buy a Lexus or a European SUV?? All will say Lexus!!

We have a 2017 Q5 love it but. Going to trade it in for a Lexus or Acura, which we have had before. Because parts are so expensive, that said it's such a better ride and seats are amazing.

No offense but why on earth would you want ceramic on an suv?!? I have no idea why you would accept a cayenne with that option.
