21:11 here. Forgot about this one, it was great.

+2. My favorite sitcom ever.

Don’t Trust the B in Apt 23

Yah - that is a very underrated and underappreciated show

Have you watched Grace and Frankie? It's not quite the same as these others but it's fun to watch.

New Girl is right in line with what you like. I love Psych but it's an hour long show, not a sitcom. Monk, too. They're funny procedurals.

I think you should give Schitt's Creek another shot - it starts really finding its groove in season 2.

You might like Life in Pieces - it's another really underappreciated show. Like Modern Family but - I think - funnier.

I like most of what you like and like Superstore, Brooklyn 99, new girl, psych, monk, and people of earth. Espookys on hbo is also really funny but not in the same vein as the others. Playing House was pheonomenal but I don’t know if it’s available anyplace now.

I also couldn’t get into Schitts creek.

i thought the first season of The Detour was genius but didn’t get into any of the subsequent seasons.

For really silly fun, Wrecked (a Lost parody) is also pretty funny.

Yes! We should do a separate thread on The Detour. It started off great - second season was ok, and then it got unwatchable. We tried to watch the current season but didn't even get through one episode. What happened?!

Friends, Scrubs, and perhaps give Schitt's creek another chance? I really love it and I have seen and love most of the show's you have listed

OP here, I will try it again. My husband and I started it and he gave up about halfway through the first season. Everyone says it gets better in the second so I may start it over again by myself.

I like most of the shows you list, but Fraser made me double over in laughter on a weekly basis.

OP here, I love Frasier! Sorry, I should have listed that with the others. I had a hard time remembering every show!

Ok, I will give this one a try. Thanks!

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Psych, Fleabag, and Master of None are all fantastic. You might like Scrubs too.

Agree on Frasier, it was a great show.

Thanks! I also did love Scrubs, should have listed that. Those were all contenders so I appreciate your vote.

Ok, maybe I will. The friend who recommended it to me is someone whose opinion I greatly value when it comes to TV, movies, and books because we have similar taste so I just couldn't figure out why I didn't like it. Some shows I love other people don't like and I can never understand that but it must just be that something rubbed them the wrong way or it was the wrong time or something. Who knows.

I've seen recommendations for Life in Pieces in other places but I can't find it anywhere?

Life in Pieces is the master of the straight man absurdity. Like a throwaway line that pops up later as an off color joke in the background. It’s on CBS

Sports Night is good, but I think it had a laugh track (think Fraser does too?) I always find those distracting now!

Worst Week was hilarious and very underappreciated. I think it was cancelled after one season but I don't know why.

I don't think I could be in the same room with you. Every one of these shows is awful upon rewatch. Frasier is the only watchable one but is cringeworthy now, in retrospect.
