My UMD students observed 4 classes at UMBC and was very impressed by the quality of teaching. His exact words were “ professors were actually teaching and interacting with students instead of zooming through chapters because students are supposed to learn in their own”.

Dreary, lifeless campus. Great education but not a very fun place.
