does your pre-teen/young teen use Thinx or other "period" underwear?

Eh. I use them, so I'm washing them anyway. And the interiors are black, so it's not as though you see blood.

I think they are also a useful back-up to tampons and pads
.

I would have loved them for these purposes as a teen. I remember my friends and I worried so much about leaks and whether there might be a stain on the back of your pants when you stood up...so embarrassing! That wouldn't be a problem with these.

My DD uses Thinx in addition to either tampons or pads for this very reason. She plays sports that involve wearing white and the beige colored Thinx does not show through the white shorts/pants even though the underwear has a black interior layer. Truly a wonderful thing because it makes her more confident she won’t be embarrassed by a leak.

Does your 12/13/14 year old wear Thinx or other super-absorbant "period" underwear?
Or just pads/tampons?

Thanks so much.

My 11 and 13 yr old wear Thinkx. They are afraid to try tampons. They use Ruby Love period swim wear.

There’s a very accurate size chart on their site. I’m 4’8” and 82lbs and wear 11/12.

It's less about your height and weight and more about your hips and bootie.

My 14 yr old DD only wears Thinx. Not with pads or tampons or liners. Just the Thinkx. She hand rinses and then when she has enough, washes them in a lingerie bag on delicate and she air dries them. So far she has not had any accidents. She started her period at 12.

Does your daughter change the Thinx at school? I was going to buy some for my daughter but when I read that they CANNOT be used with pads, and instead you are supposed to change your Thinx during the day, It sounded strange to me.

She doesn't need to. I asked her if she changes out of it when she gets home from school but she said she wears it all day and even into the evening. She puts it on the morning and doesn't remove it until she showers at night. The one she wears at night is not the same one she wears the next day.
