Do your straight kids ever wear

Anonymous
Yes. My kids are 14 and 18. They marched in Pride for the past two years as allies as part of my company's delegation. They had fun. They got our company's tshirts to wear during the Pride parade. They wear them out sometimes.

yes. As do I (55 yo male, straight). I think of it as we are all equal and part of a tapestry that makes us great.

Oh, and I have raised my DD to not be a homophobe.

Watch out for the right wingers to appropriate the symbol.

Yes. I do as well. My kids have always been allies, even before our youngest came out. When he came out, it was so easy because he grew up knowing it was safe to do so.

Not all rainbows are symbols of gay pride (e.g., the Super Mario rainbow star, Splatoon rainbow colors stuff, unicorns and rainbows, drippy rainbows). So, OP, are you asking whether kids wear rainbows generally or whether they wear gay pride social/political statement clothing?

Yes, DD 14

Yes, 17.

And I also actually have a rainbow rhinestone ring I wear, just because I like it and like rainbows.

My 14-year old son got a surf-style shirt as a gift with a rainbow on it. I was kind of shocked when he refused to wear it, but he was adamant.
