I am in California. It is not common here. |
I don’t know any Jonahs that go by nicknames. It’s already a short name.
I have a feeling you don’t like your SIL and are looking for a reason to be ticked off. This is not a valid one. |
This bigger a family is, the less odd they will find it. Especially families that name people after people. |
I like her a lot we get along great. I'm really excited for them. I am not mentioning this to them. I get that everyone thinks I'm crazy so you can stop commenting now lol |
+1 on both points. Shout it into the wind, sister, no one else cares. |
Jonah's a great name and doesn't need a nickname. You can still call him JoJo or Jo or whatever as an endearment when you're speaking directly to him, but he will probably just be known as Jonah. |
You are insufferable, OP. |
Oh OP. You sweet summer California child. |
Actually I'm from good old Minnesota |
Maybe he will want to use his middle name? |
I should clarify these people do weird ass things. Crack. Stealing people's engagement rings in the family. Just shady ass stuff. I guess without perspective give you wouldn't see where I am coming from and that's ok. |
And yet you previously said, "I like her a lot we get along great. I'm really excited for them." So which is it? |
Get over it op. Cousins don’t matter |
JFC. It’s nit a big deal. Many, many of my first cousins share common family names and are similar ages. We literally have three Johns all writhing a year of each other. Everyone can tell everyone apart, no one goes home with the wrong family. They will survive with similar nicknames. I can’t beluebe your SIL changesbthe name she wanted to choose for her own child. You can’t call dibs on a name and you certainly can’t on a freaking nickname. Grow up. |
(Sorry, apparently I confounded autocorrect on my phone.) |
