Bernie

Does he coach all of BRYC?

the u8-u12. Rumor is he wanted the u13s but was not given them.

How does he manage to coach all of these teams by himself?

NOT VERY WELL. Ask the parents.

Why can’t BRYC get a larger coaching staff?

They’ve run out of local family members.

This club has become a joke. I feel bad because there are some good families there.

Elaborate... how has the club become a joke? They have 4 teams going to nationals. No other club in the region has that many going. Good try.

One top boys team and one top girls team. The other two girls teams are good but not great. All of these teams are U16 and up. The younger teams below are not just weak, some are extremely weak - as in some of the weakest in all of the ECNL divisions nationally.

A bunch of players are coming over from FPYC to play on the 05 boys team, so they should be better next year. That's BRYC's modus operandi: plant itself in elite leagues and then poach good players from other clubs with the promise of exposure to college coaches.

The 2007 boys didn't exactly tear up the NCSL this spring. So what makes anyone think they will do anything at all next year in the ECNL.

Just curious no dog in the fight. I was wondering about how many players drop from ECNL down to their Elite team each year. Do most take the demotion in stride? Or do they leave for other clubs? Does the club simply give them an offer for the Elite instead of ECNL? Or do they just cut the ECNL player outright from the club?

Don't think the girls ECNL director even knows that BRYC has other teams.
Once girls don't make his team, they're not his concern anymore.

If they are coming from FPYC I honestly don't think they will be getting any better.

I would think that they know the next option is to try out or contact the coach of the Elite team for their age group if they get dropped from ECNL. If they do or don't comes down to a lot of other individual factors.

How many boys were promoted from the Elite to play for the 2007 ECNL for next year? Were any dropped from the ECNL for next year?
