I have a DD whose upcoming U12 team is in this new league. I was told ECNL starts at U13. Anyone with knowledge know when this Regional ECNL league starts?

It isn’t new, it is just NPL with a new name.

I realize it is still the NPL teams but has been given a new name. Does it start at U11?

VPL goes from U-11 to U-19. The ECNL RL press release doesn't say if they are taking the entire age range but i would imagine that is the case. The open cup starts at U-15.

On ECNL website it looks like Ohio and Texas have regional leagues too. They don’t start until U14. Not sure what Virginia will do. Anyone know?

It would be great if DA and ECNL and all of their leagues DPL, ECNL2, Regional ECNL etc started at U14.

This is hilarious. So glad my kid is a HS Senior and I can leave this mess. Ten years ago Division 1 NCSL was the level of competition soccers teams aspired to reach. All these new leagues are a salve to parent egos and a money grab.

I also think it's designed so that the 'rival' club from the next town over is in a separate elite league and you don't have to take a beatdown from the neighbors...

Yep. Go to a club where you participate in a real state cup championship. Not a place where (as people say ) plays in a quote unquote State Cup with 8 teams. Check out this news release from CCL yesterday
