Aside from obtaining early commitments, coaches do tryouts in May so that they can analyze the kids trying out with the rest of his/her players during the weekly practices. I am not aware of any clubs/teams that have practices (ie Summer) once the Spring season is over.

Yes ! I wouldn’t recommend staying with the current club I would switch clubs 100% . I just know from declining the offer you will get calls fromTD within an hour.

Premier AC practices 2 nights per week all thru the summer.

Yep Loudoun too. You get the coach screaming "that's not good enough" after your kid steals the ball, goes for a fast break, attempts to score. This is all in hopes the coach changes their mind about your kid. Another good one is "you're done" so that families can hear the coach's disappointment in your kid.

BRYC is not cutting anyone - at least on the younger girls side. They are still trying to get people to fill roster spots.

In all seriousness though this is true. BRYC is looking for some strong littles on both girls and boys side. If you have a talented player looking to improve they still have roster space available in every age group.

It’s all about the Benjamins. Sooner they give you an offer the sooner they can get your deposit. These coaches don’t give a crap about your kid. They are paid to put butts in seats and win games. That’s it. Half of them make fun of the kids that need the most help instead of helping them.

Yes, and you should definitely intervene to help get your kid on the highest team possible, no matter what the coaches think he deserves and has earned. Nothing wrong with that at all.
