How many friends from childhood are you still friends with?

I have a hard enough time keeping in touch with friends who I actually like and live close to! My parents moved while I was in college and I have no other family in my hometown so I don't keep in regular touch with anyone I grew up with. I have my "best friend from home" who I text with every few months - birthdays and anniversaries (that are reminded from Facebook) but that's it.

On the other hand, we currently live in the town my DH grew up, so we hang out with everyone he went to highschool with and has been friends with some since middle school. I'm pretty much the only "outsider"!

I have a handful of solid friendships from elementary school. My DH as a handful from HS. We don't live close to any of those friends so it's not proximity. Of my siblings, one sibling does not have longtime friends from childhood - it means nothing. He has other friendships.

Close to 1, friends since age 5, we see each other multiple times a year, talk on the phone for like an hour once a month or so (we live about 90 miles apart).

I'm still acquaintances from numerous people from high school on social media but I doubt we'd get together.

I still see most of the kids I grew up with from the neighborhood on holidays though, there's a group of probably 6-8 that stop by my parents' house on thanksgiving/christmas/easter to catch up.

I grew up in one place, didn't move away until college. So I went to k-12 with the same kids! Still very close with 2 girlfriends (they were in my wedding 13 years after HS and at my children's Bar Mitzvahs 28 and 31 years after HS). There's a few others that I exchange holiday cards with, and a larger group that gets together for reunions or if I am in the area (several stayed).

There are 5 of us, and we've been friends since we were 3, and I also have another 5 friends from HS (grade 8). We speak on a regular basis, and text everyday. They visit me once or twice a year, and I visit home 2-3 times a year. I don't live in my hometown. I live here in the US, and see them when I visit. It definitely takes effort.

Lots! Close enough to call to chat or meet up -- probably 6? I grew up in a suburb of NYC and am now living in the city along with a lot of my elementary and hs friends. I'm also in touch often with my true hs bff who lives farther away.

None. I am FB friends with many. My only current friends I’ve made post college graduation.

Even still I seem to be unable to have super close female friends. No best friend. It makes me sad sometimes.

I was raised in another country. I am on face book and have connected with friends from school (K-12) but although we make a comment here and there, I don't find anything in common since moving here 20 years ago. On the other hand, the one friend from college who also moved to the US, we talk almost every week and share every little detail in our lives, vent about our families etc. If we lived close by I'm pretty sure we would be dropping in on each other often too.

I don't regularly keep in touch with anyone, but there are about half a dozen friends I see every 5 years or so and we pick up right where we left off.

My best friend from college passed away two years ago. My heart is like an ice-block when I think of her.

Zero. I went to 5 different elementary schools, 2 middle schools and thankfully the same high school. Have a few friends from high school but that's it.

Probably 3 attended my wedding. I have seen a few others from time to time.

I'm friends with more on FB.

I am in touch with 1 friend from college and 2 friends from graduate school. I moved to this country 25 years ago. I have made friends here and continue to make friends here. I meet with them pretty often.

I am close friends with one from elementary school. We see each other a lot (she lives in DC now) and our parents are very good friends.

I am still super close with my group of guy friends (I am a girl) from college. We have a group text and we see each other every few months. Surprisingly I am not friends/talk with my girlfriends from college anymore.
