Very Loud and Annoying Breathing in Exercise Class

So should you. Instructors are busy instructing and trying to please the clientele so they don't always key in on this kind of stuff.

Wait, what? No matter where you are in the class, this woman comes over and invades your space? Sounds like she enjoys working out next to you for some reason, but are you saying she moves into your space? How close to you does she get? And why don’t you just say something to her?

Why can't you use your words and ask her not to use your floor space?

She’s doing an exaggerated version of the Pilates breath. Instructors do this to demo the breath, and it seems that perhaps this woman has taken it to heart that the exaggerated breath is the normal breath.

I do understand that proper breathing is important when doing pilates, however, this women has taken it to a ridiculous level. You can hear her breathing all the way on the other side of the room and possibly outside the room as well. She makes this funny long hissing sound -- like a TSSSSSSSSSSSSS for each and every breath. The interesting thing is that she breathes like this during the easier part of the class, but when the exercises become more challenging and heaver breathing is necessary, you can't even hear a sound from her. It is so very annoying and even the instructor is aware that clients are unhappy...trying to get equipment as far away as possible from her. There isn't much we can do about it, but so tempted to ask her to tone it down.

Lighten up, Francis!

There's a woman in my barre class that sounds like she's orgasming during breathwork, we all just laugh.

Is this a joke ? Get over yourself. Leave the poor lady alone. Maybe you sweat too much and she doesn’t like that.

It's an old thread, but a pretty timeless issue.

I love the guys that do weird sounds as they hit bags in a boxing class. I just laugh and keep doing my thing.
