I drink at least 2 glasses of wine a night, my husband doesn't. However, he's on 3 prescriptions. My doctor recently told me to keep doing what I'm doing based on my labs etc.

Now if he downs a bottle every night it's time to curb it.

Aren't you worried about the carcinogens in wine end the link to breast cancer?

My mom has breast cancer, and she drank 2-3 glasses of wine for decades. She was always thin, ate very healthy, physically fit, and great labs. And now she's dying of breast cancer. Her cancer wasn't genetically predisposed, so I'm blaming the wine habit.

Could just as easily have been carcinogens in the environment. Without more, blaming the wine feels like a modern version of thinking God afflicts people for their sinful behavior.

Perhaps. But I don't smoke because I know it can cause cancer. And I similarly don't drink 2 glasses of wine each night because I know it could cause cancer...and per the data, breast cancer specifically. This is based on science; it's a known link that I can proactively minimize.

Vast vast majority of cancers are random. Please be careful with your smugness.

I think he was hoping for some and you....missed the clue? So he found solace in the bottle! LOL!

Basically everything causes cancer. Life is too short to not be lived to the fullest.

Don't taint the rest of the time you have left with your mother blaming her for her illness.

OP you sound like a jerk

Hope you don't live in the city, dense suburb or near a major airport.

I enjoy the odd campari spritz. Real men don't care what others think about their choice of drink.

I can’t stand when men act like a glass of white wine will forever emasculate them.

My DH is a beer and whiskey guy, but he'll have champagne or prosecco with me so that we can enjoy a bottle together. Sorry you are so insecure!

Based on science, it's known that white wine will cause a man's penis to fall off. Same mechanism as holding a purse, I believe.

Drinking a bottle of prosecco after being rejected by his wife on her birthday = evidence of a normal and healthy inner life, if a bit sad.

If it were moscato, I could understand OP's disdain.

Your attitude might be why he drank the whole bottle. Look at yourself instead of what he is doing.

I see you don’t understand probability.

We need better math education in our schools.

Anonymous wrote:Prosecco is lower in alcohol than champagne or beer. That's why it's often served at brunch. It wouldn't be a big deal if he drank the rest of the bottle.

I agree with others that you don't sound very fun, or appreciative of your spouse.

Hope you enjoyed your birthday.
. Errrr... no. Prosecco is wine and is about 12 percent ABV.
