NP here. No need to warm the bottles. Babies can drink it room temp. |
You’re right that it’s perfectly safe. But some babies won’t touch it unless it’s super warm. |
My two EBF babies wouldn't touch bottles or pacifiers and didn't SSTN until they were 2.5 y/o. |
+1. We were getting 7 hour stretches by 2 months and 10 hour stretches by 2.5 from my EBF. Agreed about underfed babies being a problem esp if mom’s trying to BF and it’s not working. |
This is what we did, DD was never BF so always drank it room temp. Only BF babies that have had BM at 98.6 degrees are used to it warm |
OP here. Thanks everyone! Great responses and seems to show that feeding method doesn’t seem to make much of a difference. This definitely relieves some of my anxiety as, like I said, I have lots of friends with EBF kids who were not good sleepers although maybe those who were good sleepers just didn’t talk about it bc it wasn’t an issue. Looking forward to giving breastfeeding another shot when this one arrives in a couple months! |
Hahaha 4 **months**. That's why. Mine were 4 weeks. |
