It is where a servant door would have been.

Then eventually made into a door for a separate apartment when the neighborhood turned and the house was made into multi family units.

The outside of the house could actually be quite pretty and traditional, if the flippers had not gone with such and awful paint scheme, and added appropriate landscaping to define the main entrance.

For example, the side porch railings should be traditional, either turned wood, stone or wrought iron, not that ugly, non p3riod modern crap they put on. And the stairs should be centered, not weirdly placed in the corner.

Ours has 4 on the main level alone. Least of the problems with this place, the most being the location.

We have five - one on each side and a second on the lower-level on the back. This is odd? Even my shitshack had three exterior doors...
