WPI in particular has a strong emphasis in humanities. In fact, their humanities department is the largest. Very undergraduate focused, and has emphasis on projects (IQP, MQP) and gives every student a stipend to study abroad. It’s worth a look. |

OP here. Neither does CMU as of this year. But Pitt is on the list and we haven’t done a formal tour. Sounds like NY (Rochester, Union) is a separate trip? |

If you're willing to go as far west as Grinnell and Macalester, add Kalamazoo and Beloit to your list. All would give very significant merit aid to your child (most are stats driven and you can see what your child's test scores and GPA result in).

Actually, there are a lot of schools around the country with half the student population, which would meet his needs. Simmer down. |
