I have highly resistant skin and have a hard time finding products that make a noticeable difference. For some reason Caudalie products work well for me. I’ve started using Vine[Active] Vitamin C Anti-Wrinkle Serum last month and it definitely has some power to it, which is what I need.
The type of Vitamin C used is Ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate. |
I just started using the Vine[Active] moisturizer for sensitive skin on top of Drunk Elephant's C-Firma. After a week, I'm seeing decent results - evening out tone and texture. I don't have dry skin, but I do have sensitive skin - can't do anything with glycolic acid and am afraid to try retinols! - and haven't had any irritation from the C-Firma. For the PP whose skin turned orange from C-Firma - I think about 6 months to a year ago they reformulated to remove the problematic coloring agent. |
PP here: I got the Vine[Activ] holiday pack with the eye cream, serum, and moisturizer. I definitely feel a tingle which is saying something for my skin. And I am seeing the same— evening out the tone. I have big pores and I’m surprised they are looking smaller. |
| I love Mad Hippie Vitamin C serum. It’s reasonably priced, has Ferulic acid and Hyluronic acid too. |
| Skinceuticals Vitamin C is the gold standard. Maelove is amazing, as is Melano CC (Japanese brand). Latter 2 are affordable. |
Where do you buy the Melano CC from? |
You can get it on Amazon. The entry is Merano CC for some reason but the actual product is Melano CC. It’s Korean so there is a lot of Korean on the tube. It looks like a cream but is droplets. I’m trying out the Shero Science Vitamin C right now and it’s awesome although I haven’t used it for long enough to actually recommend. Very similar to the Skinceuticals, with 3.2 ph. Woman owned company made in California. I’ll let you know in a few weeks if I still like it. |
