Success stories when doctors did not have hope

Tried for a second baby and after 3 IVF cycles + 2 frozen, 2 miscarriages and BFNs, the doctor recommended donor sperm.

We weren't ready for that, so we switched to CCRM in Lone Tree and got pregnant with b/g twins on the first try. They are healthy toddlers.

Any idea what made the difference there?

I've written this a few times here. We started ttc when I was 27 and went to re after a year of no positive test. My labs were all fine except low amh (1.1). DH had borderline morphology (4%). Had a lap done after 3 failed femara iui and severe Endo was found (but not on my ovaries) and removed. After the lap, we tried naturally for 3 more months before moving onto ivf. We did 2 rounds of ivf in which no blasts were produced either cycle. Got the de speech yada yada. 2 months later conceived spontaneously (26 months after starting ttc), he is now almost 3.

Now on our 4th cycle ttc #2. I would have liked to start trying a lot earlier but baby was very difficult then when I was ready my husband got deployed for 1.5 years. I'm 33 now and my amh is now 0.39 so not looking like good odds but trying to remain optimistic. After going through all that with #1 with nothing to show, I vowed not to seek treatment for a second but am now toying with the idea of trying femara again with just ti.

Well since this is a success thread, I wanted to update that cycle 4 worked. I got a positive FRER this am at 11 dpo. Good luck everyone!

On the 4th or 5th cycle the drs on duty were pessimisitic about my stimulation results and my actual dr was out of town. I had skipped a cycle so I had extra stim drugs (can't remember which) and I just increased it myself. I had also read that the trigger shot should be weight based so I gave myself two trigger shots. I didn't tell anyone about that but the research was clear that overweight women need a higher dose and I had multiple cycles where I had more large follicles than mature eggs at retrieval. My dr encouraged a high number to transfer on Day 3 and it all worked out and I had a health pregnancy healthy baby at 43.

How did you get the second shot?
