It looks like she’s had a really hard time. I’m happy to see her out in the world and trying to reengage in a life after Frank.
Shania looks very different to me. Not in a bad way, but like a sister of who she used to be. |

Shania looks like Shania to me on screen - just a little older but the same person. The still shots show a difference in her appearance from 10/15+ years ago but that is really to be expected.
I'm glad that she's out in the public eye again. Good for her! |

I was also appalled by KLG's appearance, but I googled it and apparently she lost the weight for a role. She slammed the body shamers too, and had a very good point - the public applauds male actors when they lose weight (or gain it) for a role, but shames women. (And btw, I think Shania looks fabulous. I'm about her age and definitely have a fuller face than I used to.)

What 65 year old male actor has emaciated himself like that on purpose? I can't think of one. There have been some much younger males and females who have both put on and taken off weight for roles which was probably hard on their bodies but something a younger person can reasonably recover from. I can't imagine a 65 year old doing that to themselves for a role but maybe that's what happened to KLG. Hopefully she'll recover quickly from it. Concern is not the same thing as "body shaming". I found that picture of KLG genuinely concerning. |
