Smoker?

Anonymous
As a smoker (woman) I have never had a problem with guys I was involved with not liking the taste or smell of my mouth or breath. In fact one guy, who had quit himself years earlier, said he loved the taste and smell of it.

On the other hand, I do not drink or get high and do not like the smell of either one. The smell of alcohol on a man's body as he sweats it out is gross.

Denial. Guaranteed you reek, not just your breath, but hair and clothes.

+1. The men didn’t complain because they were getting a$$.

That's a hell no. Woman smokers look 10 years older, their lips are wrinkled and they sound like men (raspy voice). No matter how hard they try to hide it, you can always tell.

My cousin married a viper, and weed smoking party girl. He constantly makes excuses for her habits and lack of job. She looks older than her years. Gross.

It's a complete turn off at any age (woman/man). Gross.

Smoking is taboo anymore. A parent at a get together made disparaging remarks about another woman who stopped for a cig outside away from everyone before leaving. Meanwhile the parent had about 5 drinks and drove home. Drinking and driving is totally coo thoughl.

In my twenties (1990’s) I dated a smoker, and back then it wasn’t taboo but times have changed. I highly doubt he still smokes today. By 2000, smoking was only for low-class or uneducated. People are so health conscious these days.
I can barely even stand next to a smoker anymore; even when they’re not smoking, they reek.

I’m sorry but this is nuts. I work in BigLaw and know dozens of millionaire smokers. I guess you think they are all “low class” but they are wealthy and educated so the stereotype doesn’t really fit. Smoking is still popular among those with high stress jobs.

I would not date a smoker. The smell is always around. I’m even more attuned to it since the laws were passed banning it in most restaurants.

So nasty. It's low class and trashy. More to the point, in a spouse I'd be worried that they're going to die earlier and die of cancer. Why should I have to deal with that when they didn't quit smoking?

Ex-smoker here.

Having a cigarette now and again with a drink? Fine.

Smoking all the time? No.

Deal breaker. I don’t care if he had 50 million dollars. No way.

Does she want to quit?

DH was a smoker when we started dating. I HATE smoke. But he was so cute, I couldn't resist him. But I had rules. And he always followed them, never gave me push back. I never wanted to see him smoke. And he always had to brush his teeth after smoking. About a year into our marriage, he finally quit for good.
