Can she find a volunteer opportunity to tutor younger or less advanced students (in math and/or other subjects)? Teaching the material is both a confidence builder and a great way to learn it better yourself. My honors math classes in high school actually required a certain number of hours tutoring other kids in the after-school homework center.
