Is this all you could come up with to respond to the PP? What's wrong with you people? Like it's a secret that (many) kids in exclusive (and very expensive) schools are spoiled and entitled...

Attacking the speaker when you don't like what they are saying ... now where have we seen that before?

I hardly meant to imply that.

This is the tree the private school apple falls close to.

How was this handled by NCS Administration?

My son was going to show me the letter but was surprised to find it removed from the internet. I guess someone at NCS handled it by warning the girl and all who signed it against making false accusations.

The letter was written by a current sophomore, according to my DD, and she created it on google docs so that other girls could edit and sign it. A lot of girls then jumped on the band wagon, accusing current boys of sexual assault and accusing STA of creating a rape culture. Other girls who did not sign it were appalled by the allegations and brought it to the attention of the NCS administration, who rightfully advised the girls to remove it. There are a lot of lawyers on the Close. Not a smart move by this young woman.

So is there any truth to the allegations or is this a CYA move by the school and parents resulting in squashing the discussion and continuing a negative school culture?

Seriously, shouldn't the school be more worried that their students had been assaulted? What kind of parents do these girls have? The boys' parents are probably a lost cause.

The Google Doc incident was several years ago. No way it was written by a current sophomore (unless you mean a college sophomore). The boys involved are gone from the Close, and frankly that class was notorious.

Nope. My DS showed me the letter on Friday from the current sophomore. It has since been removed.

But surely the references were better concealed, and no racist stuff was going to go through. I graduated from a public HS in the MD suburbs, and both the student staff and the teachers who oversaw the Yearbook Club definitely edited anything out they found possibly objectionable. Maybe our school's staff was hipper?

The optics are terrible having a few STA/NCS moms so publicly lobbying, holding press conferences, and being featured in ads supporting Kavanaugh.
