Bodyguard - Netflix/BBC

DP. I'm only two episodes in and I'm really liking it. I posted upthread that I have a weakness for Richard Madden but he doesn't seem sexy at all in it. His acting is great - all tightly-wound, broken and weary. I prefer him with facial hair.

Watching - just on episode 2. I'm still getting used to the intense focus on his (the bodyguard's) personal/emotional state as well as his...ethos.

It's weird. In things like 24 and Jason Bourne we would have hit 3 different countries by now, shot 15 people, and watched a building be blown up. This reminds me more of Homeland which I couldn't stand but the actor is so hot I'm sticking with it.

DP. Definitely agree, but IRL, aren’t bodyguards the same gender as the “principal”? Seems like that would be a no-brained to avoid inappropriate relationships.

I heard a lot of brits were really upset about the s-x plot but I think its great. Maybe because I am a 40 something woman too. Keely is very pretty but they make her look so severe on the show which is unfortunate.

I couldn’t believe she was supposed to only be 43. She struck me as much older, both in appearance and demeanor.

He has PTSD from the army. He's crazy. I don't want to spoil it for you since you're only on episode 3, but ... you'll see.
Is Keely Julia? If so, I thought their looks didn't match up at ALL and I was not pleased watching them hook up.

Same here. I was actually a little grossed out by the pairing.
